April 16th: Eight Week Pro Makeup Course with LYS Artistry Pro

This eight week hands-on class is designed for makeup artists ready to level-up their bridal, studio, and red carpet glam techniques. Led by LYS Artistry Pro’s Carlos Guillen. With over ten years of professional experience, Carlos has worked with brands like MAC, Patrick Ta and Glossier.

Each week will go in-depth on advancing a different skill and style:

• Week 1: Color Theory & Kit Prep

• Week 2: Highlight/Contour

• Week 3: Skin Prep/Underpainting

• Week 4: “No Makeup” Makeup

• Week 5: Soft Glam

• Week 6: Red Carpet

• Week 7: Bridal

• Week 8: Graduation/Test Day

Models: Required starting week three.
Tools Needed: Full makeup kit, brushes, makeup bag, notebook and pen.

April 27th: Blowout 101 & Hollywood Waves

This look-and-learn and hands-on styling class focuses on mastering a classic blowout and “Hollywood Waves.” Led by Beverly Hills trained stylist Smokey Good of Good Hair Suite 32!

April 27th at River + Reign Salon in Highland Park.

10:00 AM: Demo on foundational blow-dry techniques and styling.

11:30 AM: Hands-on model practice. Models should arrive at 11:30 AM.

Tools Needed: 3 different size round brushes, sectioning clips, duckbill clips and/or rollers, boar bristle brush, rat tail/teasing comb, 1” curling iron, blowdryer, and detangling brush.

May 4th: Color Meets Texture Masterclass

May 18th: Cutting, Coloring, & Styling Curls in Hawaii

This Look-and-Learn covers cutting, coloring, and silk pressing curly hair led by curly hair specialist Octavia J, and Raquel Noriko of Culture Curl Studio — Maui’s first curly hair salon!

Raquel’s experience working with brands like Deva Curl, Ulta, and Sephora, paved the way for her to open this specialized salon in Hawaii.

MAUI CURLY CLASS:

Cutting: Prep, sectioning, guide, layering, body positioning.

Highlighting: Hair prep, highlight technique, foil placement, toning, conditioning, home care.

Styling: Silk press breakdown with product, tool, and finishing guidance.
